Penang my home

YES! i back to blog world again.
just came back from my two weeks holiday.
Quite a meaningful holiday that i have recovered back a lot.
At first, i was planning to backpack travel from south thailand to vietnam. Unfortunately, i was blocked by my parents with the reason vietnam now has heavy flood and thailand is so dangerous!!!
End up,i have a one day all the way walk in penang island.
However,it is quite a good experience as i have a talk with few wise man and now i understand better of the history of Penang my home.
There are few photos that i have taken on that day:

photo taken at my 2nd stop -- chew jetty.
In chew jetty, only residents with surname CHEW can stay at there.
According to uncle Chew, the richest street after world war 2 was Campbell Street, the Rolex watch only sold for 140 bucks = p *he owns two until today*

City guys, still remember this tradition?

Cheah Kongsi, it is the oldest Kongsi in Penang. It was founded somewhere before the year 1820.
Had a talk with uncle Cheah as well, but he is not so friendly. End up i don't get any complete information about Cheah Kongsi.
In Cheah Kongsi, we can see the tradition of Baba and Nyonya and also a long long table that they used to meeting last time.
We can see Sun Yat-sen potrait in Cheah Kongsi.

There are five oldest hokkien kongsi in Penang,Khoo, Yeoh, Lim,Tan and Cheah Kongsi.
Among these five, i feel that Khoo is the nicest. You may pay a visit if you go to Penang.
Hope the beauty of the Heritage Penang will not be destroyed in the future.
Love Penang =)
